About Us

Per the guild By-Laws the stated purpose of the Quilt Makers guild shall be to:

A) preserve the heritage and art of quilting, through member and community education in the design, tools and techniques of creating quilts and quilting related items.

B) be of charitable assistance to the community through quilting-related service projects

The guild was formed in 1987 by a group of ladies with an interest in quilting.  There were 16 charter members. The group has met continuously since that time and has grown to a membership near 70. The guild meets for a monthly guild meeting on the 4th Thursday of the month. General info and committee updates occur at each meeting followed by an informative program, a period of Show and Tell, and door prize drawings.

Informal Quilt Bees meet during the month. A day group meets on the 3rd Tuesday from 9:30 am to 4 pm. An evening bee meets on the 3rd Monday from 6:30 pm to 9 pm.

The guild’s membership includes beginning to advanced quilters, young and not so young quilters. Quilting has no boundaries!!

A number of activities (e.g. workshops, bus trips) are planned each year.

Note: Meeting dates are adjusted in November and December due to the holidays.
