Quilt Guild’s Yahoo Group

The quilt guild uses a Yahoo Group for internet guild communications and archiving of guild records. YAHOO Group access is limited to current guild members.

 

The Yahoo Groups Service provides the ability to:

· Post A Message to Guild Members

· Newsletter Archiving

· Photo Gallery

· Membership Directory

· Library Listing

 

Members are Encouraged to Join the Yahoo Group for full access to the documents, photos, etc.

 

Visit http://groups/yahoo.com/groups/quilt_guild_sherman

 

At the Website select JOIN THIS GROUP to start the process.

Members who do NOT JOIN will be on the mail list only and they will not be able to access the documents and photos archived using the Yahoo Group.

1. When joining the Yahoo Group, guild members will be required to create a USER NAME and PASSWORD that they will use for future access to the Yahoo Group.

2. The request to join will be submitted to the Group Moderator for approval.

3. Once approved, the member can then log in to the group and access all content.

4. After approval, select Edit Membership to verify that the e-mail address show for mail delivery is the mail account you check regularly. The e-mail address shown is the address that messages posted from the Yahoo Group will be sent to, so you want it to be the e-mail address you check regularly.

HOW DO I SEND AN E-MAIL MESSAGE TO GUILD MEMBERS?  Address your e-mail message to:

quilt_guild_sherman@yahoogroups.com

Those that have joined the Yahoo Group Can

1. Log in to the Yahoo Group

2. Select POST—this action will bring up a text box in which the message can be typed.
